Four with a sentence I can use
The LA Times says its crossword is free every day. The Guardian publishes a ladder from Quick to Genius at no price on the page I read. NYT Sudoku describes itself as a numbers game minus the math. Jigsaw Planet says millions of free jigsaws. Those four are the short list.

I did not finish a Guardian cryptic on 30 September 2026. The recommendation is about the publisher's own description of access, not about my solve time.

Is the LA Times crossword free?
Their page says free every day. That is the sentence I am using.
Does NYT Sudoku require a subscription?
The games hub says subscribe for unlimited access. I am not claiming the whole archive is free.
