Best -dle games, as I would hand them to a friend
The order, and why it is mine
There is no official -dle ranking. This order is editorial. I put Quordle first among the spin-offs because the four-word rule is explicit and the game has a known publisher, Merriam-Webster. Worldle is next because the country outline is a clean daily with a named creator. Flagle is third because the six-try rule and the bonus rounds are written on the site.
Semantle and Bandle follow because they change the question (meaning, then music) instead of adding more words. I left Dordle and Octordle off the short list until I can quote a guess count.
What I checked
I would actually send a friend to Quordle or Worldle before I sent them to a directory of 700 names. That preference is the whole content of this page, and I am dating it 30 September 2026.

Why is Wordle not number one?
Wordle is the original, published by the Times. This page is about the games that borrowed the suffix.
